Story Activities

Incorporation of new Archives

ARCA promotes the gathering of the collections as opposed to the dispersion of the material, it also preserves them to prevent their destruction.

Conservation and restoration

ARCA controls the conditions under which the documents are kept besides practicing an integral treatment to insure their preservation. This means carrying out preventive restoration and conservation: diagnostics, cleaning, following up the state of the collection and planning the archive and publication systems.

Research

Access to the documents strengthens the research about the architecture of Argentina making it possible to access the genealogy of ideas present in them.

Cataloging

The catalogues simplify access to the documents. Because of this ARCA developed the design of a database specifically for the archival of architectural material from the private sector that complies with the norms ISAD-G of the ICA (International Council of Archives).

Promotion

The conservation work as well as the results of all research carried out on the different collections is presented in congresses and publications.
